Pepsi Sprintcars running in Twin Falls at Magic Valley Speedway Saturday night May 29th;  Tire rule, weight rule and racescan (same channel) rule will all be in effect. Pepsi Sprintcar addendumn in effect:
Minumum total weight has been returned to the 2009 figure.
1750 is the total minumum weight for all cars. 2010-2011 rules will be adjusted to reflect the adjustment. We apoligize for any confusion or inconvienence.

Winged sprincar addendumn in effect:
Any car in 2010, with usac legal heads, may participate with a 50# weight penalty if using 2.10 or smaller restrictors.

Winged Sprintcar tire rule in effect for 2010. Right Front tire and Left Rear tire must be used to qualify, run the heat race and the Feature for two nights minimum.  Please take note... all tires will be marked and logged each event.

All numbers and pads reserved prior to Feb 26th are now considered "unsecured", all unsecured numbers and pit stalls are available to all on a first come first serve basis.

Driver Registration, ASA Memberships, Car Numbers and Pit Pads will be available soon. We'll be posting the availablility date here as soon as it is nailed down.
Car numbers will be held for those that owned them in 2009 for a limited time, date to be determined, duplicate numbers will not be allowed in 2010.
Pit pads may be leased in 2010. Only 15 pit pads in each eligible division will be available. If you don't have a leased pit pad, the remaining parking spots available for your division will be assigned on a first come first serve basis each race day.

Sept 9, 2009 ~ Halloween Bash Hornet Enduro Scheduled for Oct 31st has been cancelled. Track and pit repair work will be in progess during that time as we prepare for the 2010 racing season.
 
Sept 8, 2009  ~   Sept 25th Event for the Latemodels will not be run. Championship points will be awarded as currently posted.

Aug 4, 2009  WINGED SPRINTS
Meridian Speedway put out a vote request on a possible "official addendum" to the Rule Book for the remainder of 2009.
 
The addendum containted the possibility of allowing engines over 360 cubes with a restictions, the restrictions consisited of usac restrictor tubes and a weight penalty of 1/2 lb or a 1lb per cube over 360.
 
The votes are in and there will be no addendum

Radios/Scanners  will be considered as a safety item such as seat belts,helmets, etc.
 
All cars (minus Late Models, thunder dogs & special event cars) are required to have Receive Only Radios/Scanners in working order set to 464.2875 at all times the car is on the track.
 
Late Models must have a spotter that monitors the track race control at all times that the car is on the track or Driver may monitor race control without a spotter
 
It will be the drivers reasonability to have a Working Radio/Scanner that will last the entire night of racing before getting to the track
Failure to have Radio/Scanner working prior to entering or while on the track may result in Black flag or refusal to enter track
Radio checks will be done at PRACTICE ONLY along with transponder check

Meridian Speedway has (6) 602 crate motors in stock!  Please contact the speedway office for information on how to get one at cost.  If your building a non-wing sprint you'll need to get your name on the list.
 

ATTN DRIVERS:
 
Most of the competitors at the Meridian Speedway have taken the steps to comply with decible maximum of 95db @100ft. Meridian Speedway and its neighbors appreaciate it very much!
 
There are some however that have recently made thier first race at the speedway in 2009 or have been making adjustments this first part of the season to tone their exhaust systems down and haven't quite gotten down to 95db
 
This coming weekend NO- we repeat- NO car will be allowed to start the main event that can't record a decible reading at or below 95db without the spec muffler.   PLEASE BE PREPARED TO ALTER YOUR OUTPUT AT THE TRACK IF NEEDED>

July 4th, 2009   ALL Divisions Racing
 
Due to the loss of a major portion of the lower pit area to make room for the Fire Depts restrictions concerning the Fireworks Display at the Speedway, we are restricting pit area parking. 
 
In the furture we will reduce the amount of classes running on this night due to the restriction and outside of removing a division on this current weekend, this layout is the only solution available!
 
The pit area will be tight for all competiors, your patience is appreciated.
 
Truck and Trailer Parking will be available in the south lot just to the east of the water tower. Access to the satilitte lot will be available via the canal road.
 
Hornets - there is not going to be room to park in the upper pit, the lower pit is resticted and parking will be assigned on a first come first serve basis.
 
Mini Stocks - will be parking in a portion C section and a portion of E section. Non of these spots have room for a truck and trailer. Please be prepared to unload and set up your pit accordingly
 
ASA Modifieds - will be parking in D section. Non of these spots have room for a truck and Trailer. Please be prepared to unload and set up your pit accordingly. If you have a stall reserved it will be held for you up until 1:30 unless you call and confirm that you will be using it. If you are not planning on racing, please call the office and let us know as there are others that would like the spot!
 
Non Wing Sprints - will be parking in a portion of A section and a portion of C section, the C-section slots have room for a short truck and trailer... Please be prepared, call the office and check your assignment to be sure your set up will work and set up your pit accordingly. If you have a stall reserved it will be held for you up until 1:30 unless you call and confirm that you will be using it. If you are not planning on racing, please call the office and let us know as there are others that would like the spot!
 
If you run in any division listed and don't have a pit stall reserved for the season, please call the office and let us know if you plan on racing July 4th so we can work to make parking accomidations for you.

Maximum Decibels

Spin Tech Muffler to be announced as alternative to meeting decibel level.
This Muffler is advertised to meet 95dbl rule... purchase and installation shall be deemed sufficient in meeting the decible requirements of Meridian Speedway.

All cars will be measured and must meet the maximum specifications. Please make sure your noise suppression systems (mufflers) are in place and adequate.   No more than 95 decibels as measured from 100 ft will be allowed.

ASA Annual Membership is now $90.00 for Driver and Crews.
This years ASA Premier Division will be the ASA Modifieds.

2009 Pit Pad Reservations

Pit Pad and Reserved Pit Parking is available and will be stricktly enforced. Spots are going fast, if you don't have a reseved spot remaining spots will be first come first serve. There are only 71 paved parking spots per race night. Nightly parking charts are available to veiw at the Speedway Office.
